Call for applications CinEuro Film Lab : Inspiration Session #1 - Conflicts and Reconciliations
For the CinEuro Film Lab’s “Conflicts and Reconciliations” thematic sequence, the Région Grand Est will organize an inspiration session on October 21st 2026. It will take place in Schirmeck.
The Inspiration Session will revolve around the topic of Women’s memory in both a war and post-war setting. A group of ten participants will be able to watch Nina Barbier‘s documentary “Malgré-elles“, followed by an exchange with her and two experts, Marie Fridrick and Marie Janot-Caminade. They will also be able to visit both the Mémorial Alsace-Moselle, famous for its qualitative scenography, and its new Mur des Noms.
This call for applications is dedicated to professionals from the movie and audiovisual industry aiming to create a project tackling themes of conflicts and reconciliations. This day also presents the opportunity for the participants to visit the Mur des Noms. This monument is the culmination of years of research, housing over 40 000 names and life stories of people from Alsace and Moselle who died during World War 2.
PROGRAM
Wedenesday October 21st – Schirmeck
- 10 – 10:30 AM: Welcome coffee at the Mémorial Alsace Moselle ;
- 10:30 – 11:30 AM: Presentation of the program, the interlocutors and broadcast of the documentary Malgré-elles (52 min.) ;
- 11:30 AM – 01 PM : Round-table and open discussions on the “Malgré-elles” and women in general during WW2. Case-study with Marie Fridick (PhD student in contemporary history at the University of Lorraine), Marie-Janot Caminade (sociologist specialized in the aftermaths of conflict) and Nina Barbier (director of the Malgré-elles documentary)

- 02:30 – 04 PM : Guided tour of the Mémorial Alsace Moselle and the Mur des Noms
