Writing workshops - Fate(s) of the Greater Region

In May 2022, the CinEuro project, in partnership with Obella Editions, launched a call for applications for a writing and concept development workshop for fictional series and feature films.

Its objective was to accompany 5 scriptwriters from the partner regions in the development of an artistic adaptation of historical subjects in order to adapt them into film. The dramaturgical basis for the selected scriptwriters were scientific works on 9 “Fates of the Greater Region”, which shed light on individual or collective life paths that illustrate the relationships between the territories of the Greater Region throughout the ages.

The workshop was divided into 6 working sessions, between June and October 2022, with intermediate reports and a final pitch session in Strasbourg on October 27, 2022.  During this session, the writers were able to present their projects in front of producers and story editors and benefit from their advice during One to One meetings.
