Allocation decision process :

For projects that have already been financed in the production phase by Basel: contributions are made by semi-automatic financing, on the condition that the eligibility conditions are met. For projects that have not been financed in the production phase by Basel: Qualitative assessment by the committee of experts. Applications are processed and an answer is given in the six weeks following their presentation. The financing decisions will be communicated in writing.

Eligibility requirements :

▪ Majority Swiss productions with production that has been supported by the cantons of Basel (Swiss minority coproductions with production supported by Basel can apply for a contribution to support measures only (“flankierende Massnahmen”)
▪ Move theatre release in at least two film regions (one of which must be Basel-Stadt or Basel Country) the same weekend. There must have been at least two special showings as a preview.
▪ At least 14 showings must have taken place per film region for long feature films and at least seven for documentaries.
