CALL FOR APPLICATIONS CinEuro Film Lab – Cross-border Inspiration Session “Bridging Stories, Building Futures”
As the lead partner of the CinEuro project, Région Grand Est is launching a call for applications for a cross-border inspiration session taking place across Mulhouse, Basel and Mannheim from 11 to 13 November 2026, within the thematic strand “Conflicts and Reconciliations” of the CinEuro Film Lab.
The session “Bridging Stories, Building Futures” invites filmmakers to explore the connections that emerge across borders, with a focus on understanding past conflicts through present-day forms of reconciliation between peoples, generations, languages, memories and territories. The session will also examine how film and audiovisual professionals are developing new forms of cooperation at European level today.
PROGRAMME

Wednesday, 11 November: Basel–Lörrach
Programme starts at 2:00 p.m. in Lörrach (Germany).
Guided tour of the Three Countries Museum (Dreiländermuseum) and its temporary exhibition “Here and Elsewhere”, with a migrant sharing their personal migration journey in their own language.
Guided tour of Roche in Basel (Switzerland), including access to the upper floors and a meeting with a cross-border cooperation expert, offering panoramic views over the tri-border area.
Visit to Filmstudio Basel, followed by a drinks reception and buffet hosted by Balimage.
Transfer to Mulhouse and hotel check-in.

Thursday, 12 November: Mulhouse
Introduction session in the Grande Duchesse railway carriage, during which participants will present themselves, their projects and the support schemes available across the CinEuro territories.
Guided tour of the Cité du Train, exploring the post-war reconstruction of the city of Mulhouse through the lens of the railway industry.
Visit to Oelenberg Abbey, followed by a drinks reception and buffet.

Friday, 13 November: Mannheim
Transfer to Mannheim by shuttle.
Participation in the professional programme as part of the IFFMH.
CinEuro networking evening as part of the IFFMH.

Saturday, 14 November: Mannheim
End of the programme and departure of participants.*
* Following the CinEuro Day on 13 November, participants are invited to take advantage of the IFFMH festival programme. Accommodation and catering costs will be at the participants’ own expense for those wishing to extend their stay in Mannheim.
