Call for projects - Cross-border genre film residency "Stories and Legends"

Région Grand Est, through the Cineuro Film Lab, in partnership with screen.brussels and Wallimage a,d in collaboration with La Scénaristerie, with the support of SAFIRE Grand Est, is launching a cross-border writing residency dedicated to genre cinema, structured around four key in-person meetings between 2026 and 2027.

Aimed at screenwriter–producer pairs, this initiative supports the development of feature-length genre film projects (fantasy, science fiction, crime, thriller, horror, action), in live-action fiction or animation, centred on the theme of ‘Stories and Legends’.

Organised across two regions, the Grand Est (France) and the Brussels-Capital Region (Belgium), this residency will run in parallel with three major events in the Grand Est region and will conclude at the BIF Market (Brussels Genre Film Market) in April 2027. This residency offers the selected projects a supportive framework conducive to professional development, expanding their network and fostering international co-productions.
