CinEuro back at the Max Ophüls Festival with a delegation of two women producers
From the 20th to the 23rd of January 2026, a delegation composed of two producers from the CinEuro territories was accompanied during the MOP-Meetings professional days at the Max Ophüls Festival.
Organized annually as part of the Max Ophüls-Preis Festival in Saarbrücken, the MOP-Meetings are the leading professional event dedicated to the German-speaking film and audiovisual industry. They bring together producers, European financing experts, and other key players in the sector for an intensive program promoting exchange, project development, and networking.
Over three days, two producers selected by CinEuro had the opportunity to pitch their projects in development to a panel of European financing experts, benefit from one-to-one meetings with these experts, participate in thematic conferences devoted to current issues in the German-speaking and European industry, and forge new contacts with a view to future collaborations.
The two producers representing the CinEuro delegation were:
- Manya Halas (Strasbourg, FR), director and production manager at ANA Films, director of the documentary Vibrations
- Laure Stemmann (Brussels, BE), producer and director of the feature film Prélude
Producers from Austria, Luxembourg, and Italy were also present, making the MOP Meetings a true space for cross-border encounters and synergies, at the heart of a festival recognized as a breeding ground for emerging talent and international initiatives.

CinEuro also hosted an informative panel discussion in German on January 23, aimed at presenting the project as a whole, with a particular focus on existing funding opportunities in the partner territories. This panel was very well received by the audience, particularly in view of the current calls for projects for the 2026 editions of the Forum Alentours and the CinEuro Award, as well as the thematic sequences currently being developed as part of the CinEuro Film Lab.
