CinEuro Film Lab - Nature and Landscapes: When nature inspires creation...

Wallimage, in partnership with the Film Fund Luxembourg, organised the first inspiration session for the ‘Nature and Landscapes’ sequence on 8 October 2025 as part of the 40th Namur International French-Language Film Festival (FIFF).

Aimed at screenwriters, directors and producers, this session featured two special presentations:

• A panel discussion entitled ‘Filming in the great outdoors’, during which the Nature and Forestry Division of the SPW and Nancy-based location manager Ambroise Gayet discussed the practical realities of filming in natural environments;
• Panel discussion on ‘Green storytelling’, consisting of a meeting with comic book artist Jean-Claude Servais and director Sébastien Pins, whose works delve into the heart of rural life and the legends of the Ardennes.

The session ended on a high note with a cocktail organised on behalf of the BATAO Senegal project, led by Wallonia, Wallimage and Wallonia-Brussels International. The cocktail was followed by a screening of Vanja d’Alcantara’s film CAP FAREWELL at the Cameo Cinema.
