DOMAR Film GmbH

Dominik Utz and Martin Schwimmer founded DOMAR Film GmbH during their studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, which they both successfully completed in 2017. Based in Eichenau near Munich and Esslingen, they produce feature films, documentaries and commercials that have won numerous national and international awards. For example, they received the German Business Film Award and their films were represented in the competitions of renowned film festivals such as the Berlinale and Hot Docs Toronto.

For their feature film TRASH DETECTIVE, they received the Producer Award at the 45th International Sehsüchte Film Festival and were nominated for the Studio Hamburg Newcomer Award and the FIRST STEPS Award. Their documentary STAMMTISCH received the Baden-Württemberg Film Award in 2018. BLUTIGE KOHLE was nominated for the German Documentary Film Award in 2021. The feature film WANN KOMMST DU MEINE WUNDEN KÜSSEN was made in co-production with Schiwago Film and was nominated in all four categories for the New German Cinema Award at Filmfest München 2022, including "Best Production".
Dominik Utz and Martin Schwimmer are co-founders and partners of FOUR GUYS Film Distribution and members of the producers' association VDFP as well as the AG Verleih and the support associations of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München.
