Atris Film was founded in 2019. Our team came together through the medium-length feature film “QVIS I” produced in 2018 and has since worked on numerous other scenic projects. We are particularly interested in stories with substantial emotions – stories that connect us. Cynicism is a recurring element. We always like to explore new paths in our work and draw inspiration from each other. Many young artists and media professionals have now joined our Atris network and regularly work with us on our shared visions.
A harmonious and sustainable collaboration is always a top priority for us.

Big Trouble in Little Belgium sc
Publié par Victor Casimir le Wednesday 24 May 2023
Big Trouble in Little Belgium is an audiovisual production cooperative for professionals and non-professionals who want to produce innovative content, regardless of form, format or medium. It mainly concerns young project holders who do not have – or do not wish to collaborate with – a “classic” producer, and who want to keep a maximum of control over their work. The cooperative form allows us to create an organic network of collaborators, in which we want to promote versatility.
His productions range from short films (Ma Gueule, Magritte for Best Belgian Short Fiction Film 2023) to humorous vignettes (Les Chroniques du Charbon, for RTBF/TIPIK). She also develops projects for creative documentaries, feature-length fiction films and (web-)series.

Iota Production
Publié par Célia Janus le Monday 27 February 2023
Founded in 2000 in Belgium by Isabelle Truc, Iota Production is a production company equally at home in fiction, documentary, TV series and animation.
The company has produced some fifty documentary films, including La mesure des choses, by Patric Jean, released in Belgium and to be released in France in September 2022. De la planète des humains by Giovanni Cioni, which was screened at the Locarno Film Festival in 2021 for its world premiere, has been selected for festivals around the world and is being released in Italy. Overseas by Sung-A Yoon, sold by CAT&DOCS, was screened at Locarno Film Festival 2019 (Cineasti del presente competition) for its world premiere and then selected in many festivals (BFI London, Message to Man (UK), Busan, IDFA, …). Mon nom est clitoris by Daphné Leblond and Lisa Billuart Monnet, sold by BE FOR FILMS, was selected at DOK Leipzig in October 2019 and then at the FIFF in Namur and at the Festival Ethnologique Jean Rouch (FR). The film, Magritte for best documentary in 2020, was released in theaters in Belgium, Switzerland and France in 2019. Ma’ohi nui, au coeur de l’océan mon pays by Annick Ghijzelings was selected at the Berlinale in 2018 (NATIV.e section) and then in many festivals.
Twelve feature films as Belgian majority productions have been finalized, including Nos batailles the second feature film by Guillaume Senez. This film was selected by the Semaine de la Critique at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival (sold in more than 20 territories, selected in more than 30 festivals and awarded 9 times).
Véro Cratzborn’s first feature film, La forêt de mon père (My Father’s Forest) had its world premiere in October 2019 at FIFF Namur. C’est de famille, Élodie Lélu’s first feature film is currently in post-production. Several other projects are in writing and development.
Co-production is also part of the activity, allowing us to establish links with other producers, to regulate our own production rhythm and to enlarge the field of possibilities. Juris Kursietis’ feature film Oleg produced by Tasse Film in Latvia was selected by the Directors’ Fortnight at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and won the Grand Prize in the national competition at the 2019 Brussels International Film Festival (BRIFF). Sonia Liza Kenterman’s Tailor had its world premiere at the 2020 edition of Blacks Nights in Tallinn and has since continued its journey to festivals around the world. Backstage by Afef Ben Mahmoud and Khalil Benkirane (a Tunisia, Morocco, France and Belgium co-production) is currently in post-production.
On the animation side, in 2014 we co-produced the animated features The Secret of Kells and The Song of the Sea by Tomm Moore. We are completing the co-production of Julie Gavras’ Cherchez la femme series selected at the Annecy festival.
Benefiting from a strong and privileged relationship with the authors and creators, and after the production of a dozen feature films, Iota Production is now investing in the field of television series by encouraging talents to combine their personal universes with the creative vitality that makes Belgium a particularly fertile ground. Our projects #Innocents by Fred Muzzi, Hicham Insaan, Martin Brossollet, David Bourgie, Raphaël Baudet and Yann Vivane with the support of RTBF, Les rêves d’Isabelle by Vincent Lavachery and Dominique Christopher and Miss internet by Théo Willems are in development.
With more than a hundred festival awards and a solid international network, Iota Production’s ambition is to give birth to and support, above all, local talent and to co-produce quality films. Since the beginning, Iota Production has paid particular attention to projects led by women. As a result, our filmography achieves gender parity among our writers/directors.
“Our heart beats for films that offer a relevant and original point of view as well as a coherent and strong artistic approach.”
