Short Screens
Publié par Victor Casimir le Monday 24 April 2023
Since 2009, Short Screens has been offering thematic screenings of short films on the big screen in the heart of Europe’s capital, or occasionally in the provinces, or outside Belgium’s borders (Paris, Barcelona).
Short Screens has already had the pleasure of showing over 700 short films, with an eclectic program in terms of both genre and form; a thematic selection of films from yesterday and today, the fruit of the creativity of Belgian and foreign auteurs. With a host of guests (filmmakers, actors, producers) who regularly drop in to chat with the public after the screenings.
Short Screens also regularly organizes screenings of radio documentaries, live music, singing, readings and storytelling, as well as ciné concerts.
And since 2018, Short Screens has been organizing its mini-festival at the end of August, “Les Shorts d’été”.

The goal of the GS8D is to show that Super-8 lives! We would like to show this on one day with many simultaneous S8 events around the globe, to set a sign for Super-8, to reconnect the S8 community, to further strengthen it and to draw the attention of the general public to the values of Super-8 film in the past, present and future. The GS8D provides a framework that you fill in and design on location with your own Super 8 movies and S8 events. GS8D is a decentralized, international independent film festival – thanks to you!
