The R\u00e9gion Grand Est<\/strong>, through the CinEuro Film Lab, is launching a writing workshop programme<\/strong> dedicated to the theme of \u201cConflicts and Reconciliations<\/em>\u201d, in partnership with the Centre de r\u00e9sidence de l\u2019\u00e9criture \u00e0 l\u2019image de Saint-Quirin<\/strong>. The programme is structured around six key in-person and online sessions taking place between 2026 and 2027.<\/p>\n

Aimed at writers and directors, with or without a producer attached, this initiative supports the development of live-action and animated feature film projects<\/strong> exploring the vast theme of conflicts (past, present or future), as well as processes of reconciliation and peace.<\/p>\n

Held in highly symbolic locations across the Grand Est region (France), the residency is organised alongside two major industry events: the War on Screen Festival<\/strong> (Ch\u00e2lons-en-Champagne) and the Forum Alentours<\/strong> (Strasbourg).<\/p>\n

Six feature film projects<\/strong> will benefit from personalised mentoring led by Christophe Erbes<\/strong> and Corinne Destombes<\/strong>, who will be present throughout the programme. Participants will also receive guidance from Sepideh Farsi<\/strong>, the internationally acclaimed Iranian filmmaker whose fiction and documentary works notably address conflicts in Iran.<\/p>\n

In addition to high-level script-doctoring sessions, the programme offers participants a structured environment<\/strong> conducive to professional development, network expansion<\/strong> and the emergence of international co-productions.<\/strong> Participants will have the opportunity to exchange with screenwriters and producers<\/strong> from the partner regions and to pitch their projects <\/strong>at Forum Alentours 2027.<\/p>\n
