More than 350 industry professionals once again took part in three days of pitch sessions, insightful panel discussions, and one-to-one meetings. To help you relive the event, here is a recap of the key highlights from this landmark gathering for cross-border co-production.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

A strong affluence and a strenghtened cross-border dynamic<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This 21st edition brought together more than 350 professionals<\/strong> from the audiovisual and film industries, reaffirming the Forum’s position as a leading event for cross-border co-production. Once again, it welcomed a significant number of participants from Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg<\/strong>. This year’s edition also marked a milestone in the Forum’s history with the participation, for the first time, of professionals from Spain and Iran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In keeping with its mission to foster cross-border collaboration, the Forum also organised more than 300 one-to-one meetings<\/strong> between producers and financiers. These meetings enabled numerous projects to advance their co-production and financing strategies.<\/p>\n

21 Forum Alentours projects and 5 CinEuro Award projects showcased during the pitch sessions<\/h3>\n

This year’s pitch sessions brought together nearly 200 participants<\/strong>, around twenty financiers, and a catalogue<\/a> featuring 21 Forum Alentours projects<\/strong> and 5 CinEuro Award projects<\/strong>. Following two writing workshops organised as part of the CinEuro Film Lab<\/strong>, four writers<\/strong> from the European Stories<\/strong><\/a> workshop and five writers<\/strong> from the Beyond Borders, Within Societies<\/strong><\/a> workshop also had the opportunity to present their projects during the pitch sessions.<\/p>\n

Following the presentations of the five finalists for the 2026 CinEuro Award<\/strong>, the animated feature project Vol au Vent<\/strong>, written by El\u00e9onore Devillepoix<\/strong>, directed by Margot Reumont<\/strong>, and produced by Gregory Zalcman<\/strong>, received the award, highlighting the growing importance of international co-production in the field of animation.<\/p>\n

Inspiring and timely panel discussions<\/h3>\n

The Forum featured five panel discussions<\/strong> covering key industry topics, including current market trends, the 25th anniversary of the Mini-Treaty<\/strong>, the StepUp platform<\/strong>, the Creative Europe MEDIA co-production support scheme<\/strong>, and the support mechanisms available to emerging talent. These sessions were led by distinguished speakers, including among others Tanja Meissner<\/strong>, Director of the European Film Market, Claire Lambry<\/strong>, Secretary General of the Premiers Plans Angers Film Festival, and Heike Meyer-D\u00f6ring<\/strong>, Director of the Creative Europe Desk NRW.<\/p>\n

Addressing the latest developments in the film industry<\/strong>, these discussions provided participants with valuable insights into the current challenges and opportunities facing the audiovisual sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Forum Alentours awarded the highest eco-certification level<\/h3>\n

In line with the audiovisual sector’s commitment to environmental responsibility, the Forum continued to strengthen its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint<\/strong>. Waste sorting, vegetarian catering, reusable badges, and the promotion of sustainable mobility were among the initiatives implemented to make the event as environmentally responsible as possible.<\/p>\n

These efforts proved successful. Thanks to the commitment of participants and the support of the \u00c9co-Manifestations Alsace<\/strong> association, the Forum was awarded Level 3 certification<\/strong>, the highest distinction under the Eco-Events Charter.<\/p>\n
